WHAT IS AN AVR (Alternator Voltage Regulator)-------------------------Top
AVR is a solid state Alternator Voltage Regular to control output voltage of alternators, fulfilling the main requirements of single and three phase alternators.

The purpose of AVR is to maintain terminal voltage of an alternator constant on load. As it is known that when the alternator is loaded, its terminal voltage decreases depending on the machine reactance, type of load etc. The constant voltage is maintained if excitation is suitably controlled.

The voltage control of the Alternator is accomplished by controlling the field voltage of rotating A.C. Exciter with rotating diode bridge of D.C. Exciter which feeds controlled power to the field of the alternator. This AVR finds application when the load on the Alternator is continuously changing due to starting and stopping of motors and such loads.

We offer you warranty for twelve months against manufacturing and material defects only from the date of delivery. And, if any manufacturing fault occurs during this period, the same will be rectified free of cost by us on getting the unit at our works. Please return the AVR without tamerping to avail warranty claim. Warranty clauses does not cover, failure of AVR unit due to external reasons, such as machine winding burn-out, earth fault of windings, wrong connections of AVR, meggering or wrong polarity field flashing with AVR in circuit, bad handling accident, fire of other act of nature.
